Located in Calahonda, this is a great discovery for Thai-cuisine enthusiasts. We went to review it after we heard about the Red Curried Duck. The restaurant is on two floors, and is decorated in stylish and elegant Asian Oriental inspired décor. Upstairs features a pretty bridged stream and high vaulted bamboo ceilings, which make for an authentic experience.
The menu offers both Chinese and Thai delights, and even has a European menu for the less adventurous. On our visit we decided to opt for the Thai menu as it had been so favourably recommended. For starters we sampled Tom Yam Goong, a spicy yet soothing sweet and sour shrimp soup flavoured with exotic ingredients including coconut and lemongrass, and Tod Man Pla, traditional spicy fish cakes blended with red Thai curry paste, green beans and lime leaves served with vegetables and topped with fiery chilli. Meat eaters can also enjoy Satay Gai, skewered grilled chicken with peanut sauce, or Satay Neau, featuring beef instead.
